The composite wax for plant-type emulsified explosives was prepared by heating and melting vegetable wax, minus-fifth line fraction oil, minus-fourth line subwax oil, microcrystalline wax and petroleum resin as raw materials at 120 C with stirring for 60 rain, and the effects of the changes of raw materials on the properties of the composite wax were investigated. When the dosage of vegetable wax was 16.7, the dosage of minus-five line distillate oil was 18.8, the dosage of minus-four line under-wax oil was 58.3, the dosage of microcrystalline wax was 4.1, and the dosage of petrochemical resin was 2.1, the composite waxes for plant-type emulsion explosives with the needle penetration of 68×l0 mm, the melting point of droplet at 60 C, the kinematic viscosity of 8.13 mm/s, and the oil content of 34.81 had excellent performance, and were solid at room temperature, convenient for use and transportation. Its performance is excellent, solid at room temperature, easy to use and transportation, is the ideal oil-phase materials for emulsion explosives.

Vegetable waxes are hydrogenated and refined from palm oil, soybean oil and rapeseed oil. Its products are characterized by high purity, high melting point, high hardness, good emulsification and waterproof. Vegetable wax has good mutual solubility with mineral wax and oil, does not contain oil, can reduce the oil content, and can improve the performance of mineral oil and wax, and the price is low, it will be used in the emulsified explosive oil phase materials, for the expansion of the explosives,It is of great significance to expand the range of raw materials for explosive waxes by applying them to emulsified explosive oil phase materials. In the present study, the composite wax for vegetable emulsion explosives with stable quality, easy to use and low cost was produced by blending vegetable wax with petroleum middle distillate, and the influence of each raw material on the performance of the composite wax was investigated at the same time.
